ADAC F4 Championship - Nürburgring: Great drive and win for Ralf Aron

Estonian driver Ralf Aron (Prema Powerteam) scored his first victory in ADAC F4 Championship today at Nürburgring. Aron was the fastest and most skilled in the third race of the weekend, driven under wet conditions. Lando Norris (Mücke Motorsport) finished second while the winner of previous two races Marvin Dienst (HTP Junior Team) finished third, extending his overall championship lead.

Race was started behind the Safety Car, which left the track after two laps. Pole-sitter Tim Zimmermann (Neuhauser Racing) defended his position and remained in the lead until the Lap 11, when Ralf Aron overtook the lead. Aron started from 4th place and dropped to 6th in opening laps. Race was interrupted with Safety Car intervention in Lap 4, after Marylin Niederhauser (Race Performance) spun and stuck on the entrance to the pits.

After Safety Car was moved out in Lap 6, Ralf Aron started his incredible chase and one by one he overtook five drivers, so in the Lap 11 he got to the top. Race was full of action, all passes were almost impossible to count and the best of all that there were no major accidents, but one minor crash of rookie-driver Kami Laliberte (Van Amersfoort Racing).

Lando Norris started from 8th and made a big progression to 2nd place. Double Nürburgring winner Marvin Dienst started 10th on the grid and jumped through the field to 3rd place at the end. His biggest championship rivals Joel Eriksson (Motorpark) and Joey Mawson (Van Amersfoort) were behind him until the last lap, but dropped to 6th and 7th place. Janneau Esmeijer (HTP Junior Team) and Robert Shwartzmann (Mücke Motorsport) finished 4th and 5th respectively. One more point scorer is David Beckmann (Mücke Motorsport) who finished 8th.

After 15 races in 2015 season Marvin Dienst is the championship leader with 194 points, ten more than Joel Eriksson. Third placed Joey Mawson has 173 points, 38 more than fourth placed Robert Shwartzmann. After Nürburgring victory Ralf Aron is fifth with 120 points. The best rookie is Mike Ortmann (Mücke Motorsport), in front of David Beckmann and Jonathan Cecotto (Motopark). Mick Schumacher is fourth in the rookie’s standings and 13th overall.
