ADAC GT Masters: Bortolotti, Zaugg winners at Red Bull Ring

Lamborghini was the fastest in the second race of the ADAC GT Masters at Red Bull Ring. GRT Grasser Racing Team’s pair Mirko Bortolotti and Adrian Zaugg, with a bit of luck, won the race after Callaway Competition’s #66 had a problem in the last minutes.

Short after the start, yellow flag was shown as Team Schubert’s Dominik Baumann slided out in his BMW and was unable to continue. Tomas Enge lost pole position leaving Daniel Keilwitz to take a lead. Mirko Bortolotti looked very confident and soon he was just behind Keilwitz with a gap of 2.9 seconds.

Callaway Competition driver confidently drove and held leading position even after pit window was opened. Andreas Wirth took the reigns of the Corvette in the second half of the race and stayed at the top until the six minutes before the end when had to go to the pit, dropped back to 12th position and failed to score a single point.
