Multiple WTCC champion and West Surrey Racing driver in BTCC Andy Priaulx will return to competition next weekend at Silverstone, after he missed the previous round at Rockingham due to clashing commitments with European Le Mans Series. Priaulx will have an awkward comeback because he will serve a grid penalty after incurring third rules infringement at Knockhill in August.

He was penalized for passing Aiden Moffat under yellow. Penalty will move his #111 BMW 125i M Sport to back of the grid in Race 1 at Silverstone regardless of where he qualifies. Priaulx is sharing 7th place in championship standings with Andrew Jordan. They have 208 points, 78 less than championship leader Gordon Shedden.
