Target Competition team has entered a fourth Seat Leon car for the TCR International Series event that takes place this weekend at Red Bull Ring. The fourth driver will be Italian Michela Cerruti, who will join TCR regular competitors Andrea Belicchi and Stefano Comini and newcomer Gabriele Marotta. The 28-year-old Michela Cerruti will be the second female driver to compete in the TCR International Series after Lucile Cypriano from France, who took part in the third race meeting of the season at Valencia.

Cerruti’s racing career may have only begun in 2008, but she has gained experience in a lot of different racing series since, proving that she is just as competitive as her male competitors, that too on equal grounds. Among her most outstanding results are race victories at the Auto GP, the Superstars International Series, the German VLN Endurance Series and the Italian GT championship.

In the current season, she has taken part in four events of the FIA Formula E Championship, two races in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series and two races of Italian GT Championship.

In the Nürburgring 24 Hours, she finished 6th in the SP9 GT3 class driving BMW Z4 GT3 of Walkenhorst Motorsport. A few days ago, she  won the VLN race at Nürburgring with the same car.

Another debutant in the TCR Series is the Monegasque driver Gabriele Marotta. Marotta, who was born in Rome, raced in single-seater, touring car and GT competitions in Italy and Europe from the end of the eighties to 2010. Since then, he only took part last year in the 100 Miles of Magione, claiming a podium result in a AF Corse Ferrari 458.
