Trulli is returning in the seat

Italian racer Jarno Trulli is returning to the Formula E Championship this weekend in a place of Salvador Duran. Experienced driver will compete for his eponymous team in Malaysia alongside compatriot Vitantonio Liuzzi as Duran was in breech of contract.

“It was a last-minute call, we had to replace him here and nobody else was around,” said Trulli.

Trulli team Beijing ePrix two weeks ago after parts of the cars were held by Chinese customs, but Italian is confident that they will be able to make start at Putrajaya. This change of driver won’t be counted as a part of two permitted driver changes per season as team missed opening ePrix.
