NASCAR: Larson wins at Richmond, the Playoffs field is set
Chip Ganassi Racing’s Kyle Larson wins the Federated Auto Parts 400 atRichmond Raceway, scoring his fourth win in the 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season and fifth Cup victory win in a career.
Martin Truex Jr led for race-high 198 laps but he was bumped by Kyle Larson on turn 1 of Lap 403. That touch sent Truex into a wall and he dropped to 20th place. Larson held off Joey Logano by 0.951 seconds at the finish line. Ryan Newman, Kurt Busch and Denny Hamlin completed a top 5.

Kyle Larson wins at Richmond Raceway
The race at Richmond Raceway was 26th and the last race of the regular season. The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs begin next weekend at Chicagoland Speedway, with 16 drivers continuing the chase for the championship title. Thirteen drivers locked their spot before Richmond by winning the races, three spots were up for grabs at Richmond Raceway on Saturday.
