The biggest event of this Blancpain Endurance season is the Spa 24 hours which will be held this weekend. Over 50 cars and 200 drivers make this endurance race massive and almost equal to 24 Hours of Le Mans. The event started on Tuesday and after practice, public events as well as the day-and-night time qualifying sessions, there was the super pole part which was held on Friday to decide the final places on the grid.

The super pole was very interesting since it was an extremely tightly fought qualifying sessionfive different brands took part in six tenths times which is fantastic. The pole position was won by Frank Stippler in Audi R8 LMS Ultra. Second was McLaren 650S and the third was Ferrari 458 Italia GT3.

However, after good weather throughout the week, Saturday was rainy and the warm up session was a little tricky due to that. Alex Zanardi proved that he is still on top of his game achieving the best time in BMW Z4 GT3 in front of another R8 LMS Ultra and Ferrari.
