Prost fastest during Friday workout
Nicolas Prost was the fastest during Friday’s test before the start of the new Formula E season in Beijing.
The most impressive fact was that the cars were four seconds faster than those of last yearthis was partly achieved with a small track change. The driver of e.Dams Renault set the new record lap time – 1:37.291, beating his teammate Sebastien Buemi by 0.621s.

Jean-Eric Vergne, the new driver of DS Virgin Racing, had the third best result, but he was 2.1s behind Prost. This was a good session for Mahindra Racing as their experienced drivers Bruno Senna and Nick Heidfeld were fourth and fifth respectively.
;
Reigning champion Nelson Piquet Jr. had a bad time as he caused the session to be red-flagged when he ground to a halt mid-way through. The Trulli team still has problems which are following them from the preseason as neither of their drivers took the part in the session.
