Mercedes again proved its dominance at Interlagos, but in Free practice two before Brazilian Grand Prix, Nico Rosberg was the faster of two ‘Silver arrows’.

Almost all cars were out, probably concerned about weather, and they were right as light rain has started after 15 minutes. Mercedes’ looked in good shape, same as they were during first Free practice, but Williams improved a lot and soon Valtteri Bottas was on top with lap time 1:13.603.

Fernando Alonso McLaren

After 30 minutes session was stopped when Fernando Alonso’s McLaren stopped at Turn 10 with flames on the back of the car, so that was the end of the session for the former champion. After 15 minutes or so, FP2 was resumed and Mercedes pair soon took the
reigns after switching to soft tyres.

Nico Rosberg

Hamilton was first to beat 1:13 margin, but Rosberg immediately hit back with 1:12.385 and that was fastest lap of this session at Interlagos. Hamilton finished 0.458s behind, with Vettel and Raikkonen on third and fourth respectively, with a gap of 0.960 and
1.112s.
