V8 Supercars Bathurst 1000 – qualifying

Tough times are in Bathurst as preparations for big 6-hour race on Sunday are finished. After Chaz Mostert‘s crash on Friday, a big incident occurred today when Damien Flack was sent flying through the air after being clipped along Conrod Straight, the fastest stretch of the Bathurst track. The accident happened in Aussie Racing Carts support event. The driver was hurt and was rushed to the hospital.

Because of all accidents which happened this weekend, qualification schedule was changed and qualifications were held later. However, the unexpected pole position winner is David Reynolds in Ford Falcon for whom this was an interesting weekend. First, he was fined 25.000$ by V8 Supercars organizers and then he won pole position for the legendary Bathurst 1000 race. However, there’s a 6-hour race in front of him and anything could happen.
