Da Costa out, Buemi unstoppable

Da Costa did some great maneuver in lap 13 to overtake Prost for second, but he was forced to retire five laps later after making mistake, while de Grassi sneaked to fourth place. Gaps between top three were very tight, they were within two seconds, and when pit window was opened, Sam Bird had to be afraid for his lead, especially knowing that Buemi already was on fifth position. Safety car was deployed and has closed the pack up, so in lap 22, after all drivers did cars change, we had almost new start of the race. In a menatime, Prost made a mistake hitting the wall, so he dropped to seventh. With 10 laps to go, Bird still was on the top of the grid, followed by di Grassi, Buemi and Sarrazin.

Buemi’s brilliant performance continued in the late stage of the race. In lap 28 he managed to overtake di Grassi and started to chase Sam Bird with six laps remaining. DS Virgin Racing driver looked calm and confident, and defended well in front of desperately aggressive Buemi. At the end, British driver scored his second Formula E victory, leaving Buemi on second and di Grassi on third.
