Rally Sweden: Ogier wins and again takes maximum points
Sebastien Ogier (Volkswagen Motorsport) is the winner of the 2016 Rally Sweden, the second round of the World Rally Championship. Same as three weeks before in Monte-Carlo, Ogier takes it all – 25 points for winning the race and additional three points for fastest time at Sunday’s Power Stage.

Hayden Paddon (Hyundai) and Mads Ostberg (M-Sport Ford) completed the podium at only season’s winter rally, which was halfened because of warm weather and lack of snow, so the drivers completed just 12 of scheduled 21 stages.

The Power Stage Varmullsasen was the only Sunday’s stage and there were no changes in the order of top drivers. Andreas Mikkelsen (Volkswagen) was the second fastest at Power Stage and added two more points to 12 points which he get for 4th place overall. Kris Meeke (Abu Dhabi Citroen) and Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) shared third fastest time at Power Stage.

In the overall standings of 2016 Rally Sweden Ott Tanak (D-Mack Ford), Dani Sordo (Hyundai), Henning Solberg (Ford), Craig Breen (Abu Dhabi Citroen), Elfyn Evans (Ford) and Teemu Suninen (Škoda) completed the Top 10. Evans is the winner of WRC-2 category. It’s his second victory in a row, after Monte-Carlo’s triumph.

For Sebastien Ogier, Sweddish victory is 34th WRC win in a career. He leads in the 2016 championship classification with maximum 56 points after two events, ahead nowegians Andreas Mikkelsen and Mads Ostberg. In the manufacturers’ standings Volkswagen Motorsport I have 54 points, five more than Hyundai Motorsport. The next WRC race is Rally Guanajuato Mexico (March 4-6).
