VLN Championship DMV Münsterlandpokal

Dense fog and low temperatures in Nurburgring didn’t affect this weekend’s exciting and dynamic VLN championship race. The always full VLN grid was this time even better with worldwide and famous names like Philipp Eng, the 2015 Porsche Supercup and Carrera Cup Germany champion. After the finish of Porsche cup seasons he took the chance of racing Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, the car he knows so well.

The start of the 40th DMV Münsterlandpokal race was delayed due to fog and very bad visibility and the race was shortened to three hours. But, by the end of the race the fog became very bad the race was stopped and as more than 160 minutes had been completed at the moment, the race was suspended and full points were awarded.

The overall winner of Saturday’s race was Porsche 991 GT3 Cup entered by Black Falcon Team with Phillip Eng as one of the drivers. However, the second place was much more interesting as this was the first podium finish for famous Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus and their SCG 003 which has been competing in VLN championship this season. The great potential of SCG 003 has been proven many times before but the team is still waiting for lucky break and this second place could be the beginning of a winning streak for this team.
