Fourth consecutive win for Taylor brothers
Wayne Taylor Racing scored a fourth consecutive victory in the 2017 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
Brothers Jordan and Ricky Taylor in #10 Cadillac continued their domination in the series. After winning the races at Daytona, Sebring, and Long Beach, they also won the Advance Auto Parts Sportscar Showdown at Circuit of the Americas. This became the longest win streak in history of the series and the longest in major US sports car racing competition since Klaus Graf and Lucas Luhr won eight straight in the 2013 American Le Mans Series.
Again, it was also another very successful race for Cadillac. Dane Cameron and Eric Curran in the #31 Whelen Engineering Cadillac finished 2nd, almost 19s behind the winner, while Joao Barbosa and Christian Fittipaldi finished third in the #5 Mustang Sampling Racing car. They made it into podium position with slightly more than 10 minutes remaining when the Tequila Patrón ESM Nissan being driven by Ryan Dalziel caught fire.

Podium after the race at COTA
James French and Patricio O’Ward of Performance Tech Motorsports won the PC class, Corvette Racing’s Jan Magnussen and Antonio Garcia are the winners in GTLM class, while Riley Motorsports Ben Keating and Jeroen Bleekemolen won the GTD class of the race in Texas.
