2015 VLN 40. DMV 4-Stunden Rennen - preview
After the bad biginning of 2015 VLN Championship season and tragic accident on the first race, the VLN participants are eager to race on the second round of the championship in 40. DMV 4-Stunden-Rennen which will be held on Saturday 25th of April, starting from 12:00 until 16:00 CET. Not just that this race, hopefully, will be first full race of the season but this event is last endurance event before Nürburgring 24 Hours which is in three weeks. So it is final time for preparations, modifications and real time testing. Beside that, after the tragic accident on last race, lots of things has changed in world of VLN and this is first race with new rules and first ever VLN race with speed limit. Some fans may find this very disturbing but it is for the best.

However, if we put the speed limit on the side and forget the tragic moments of the past, we will find that the Saturday’s race is very promising event with over 190 cars in preliminary entry list! Of that enormous number, 24 cars are GT3 spec vehicles and almost all of the teams that will be aiming for the overall victory at the 24 Hours are present. Of course, there will be the fantastic Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus racing team with their SCG 003 race car and the new Audi R8 LMS will get its final outing before the 24 Hours this weekend as well, both Audi Sport Team Phoenix and Audi Sport Team WRT will enter two cars each in a push for their final preparation. There are three Porsche 911 GT3-R in the entry list as well, with Falken Motorsport, Frikadelli Racing and Manthey Racing. Each team will enter a one car. This race will be final chance for the teams to secure a starting spot in the Top 30 Qualifying session. 16 starting spots are already taken and 4 additional spots are still free so we could expect a fierce track battles for this 4 places.
