Hamilton easily takes pole position in Abu Dhabi
Lewis Hamilton will start from the pole position in Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the last race of the 2016 Formula 1 season. This is fourth consecutive pole position and 12th in 2016 for the British driver of Mercedes.
In the first qualifying round, Lewis Hamilton was the fastest with a lap time 1:39.487 what was 0.851s better than the set by Kimi Raikkonen. Interestingly, Nico Rosberg had 5th best time in Q1, 1.024s behind his teammate.

Kimi Raikkonen performed well in qualifying
Toro Rosso had awful qualifying after Carlos Sainz Jr and Daniil Kvyat were eliminated in the first round. Marcus Ericsson, Esteban Ocon, Felipe Nasr, and Kevin Magnussen also failed to qualify for the second qualifying round.
In the second qualifying round, Hamilton again was the fastest – 1:39.382. Rosberg was only 0.108s behind the reigning champion, while Raikkonen again scored a solid time after being just 0.247s behind Hamilton.

Max Verstappen
Valtteri Bottas, Jenson Button, Esteban Gutierrez, Romain Grosjean, Jolyon Palmer, and Pascal Wehrlein were eliminated from the last qualifying round.
In the last round, Lewis again was the one who set the standards. Hamilton won the pole position with a lap time 1:38.755, leaving Rosberg 0.303s behind. Daniel Ricciardo will start from P3 after beating Kimi Raikkonen.
Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen will start from the third row, followed by Nico Hulkenberg, Sergio Perez, Fernando Alonso, and Felipe Massa.
