Rosberg conquers Russia, both McLarens in points
Nico Rosberg continues his streak of wins. Mercedes driver won the Russian Grand Prix what is his fourth victory in 2016 and eighth win in-a-row. The German was on the top from start to finish and calmly finished a job.
Vettel knocked-out
Start of the race was chaotic and the main culprit was Daniil Kvyat. Russian driver hit Sebastian Vettel from behind twice what resulted with Ferarri’s driver retirement after he slid out of track and crashed badly damaging his car. Nico Hulkenberg and Rio Haryanto also were eliminated after mess on the track. Safety car immediately went out, but in lap 3 left the track.
Easy win for Nico
After the restart, Nico Rosberg strenghtened his lead, while Kimi Raikkonen slghtly started to drop in the standings. Lewis Hamilton also did great job and soon he was on 4th position. The reigning champion looked very confident and resolute to make this race more exciting.
But, he failed in his attempt as Rosberg drove without mistake and comfortably won the race, leaving the reigning champion on second place. Kimi Raikkonen recovered through the race and clnched last place at podium.
Happy day for McLaren
Williams’ drivers Valtteri Bottas and Felipe Massa were fourth and fifth respectively, but they probably could do a better job in ths race. McLaren has a reason to be happy after both drivers scored points. Fernando Alonso was 6th what is good result for the former champion, while Jenson Button finished at 1th place. Kevin Magnussen in Renault, Romain Grosjean (Haas F1) and Sergio Perez (Force India) also earned some points in this race.
