Matteo Cairoli won the accident-packed Porsche Supercup race at Monza what is his fourth triumph of the season. Fach Auto Tech driver was on the top from the start to the finish and reduced a gap to Sven Muller in the overall standings.

Cairoli started from pole position and kept the lead ahead of Michael Ammermuller and the championship leader Sven Muller. Unfortunately, the race went under safety car after a huge accident in which were involved Forch Racing’s drivers Chris Bauer, Patrick Eisemann and Pablo Sanchez Lopez.

The race was restarted after four laps but soon was stopped again after another huge crash of Dylan Pereira and Ryan Cullen. The second restart was on lap 8 when Muller tried to overtake two cars but he made a big mistake and dropped to the fifth position.

Finally, in the last five laps, we could see some proper racing. Cairoli made few mistakes but Ammermuller failed to take advantage and had to settle for the second place while Dinamic Motorsport’s Mattia Drudi made a surpise and finished third on his debut, leaving Muller in the fourth place.
