Rosberg's winning streak continues
Mercedes’ supremacy in Formula 1 continues after Nico Rosberg won the Grand Prix of Bahrain. German driver started well and controlled the race to score his second victory this year and fifth consecutive win.
Vettel withdrew after engine failure
Even before the start of the race, Sebastian Vettel was eliminated. During the formation lap, a lot of smoke was going from the back of the car and former champion could only to park his Ferrari.

Vettel’s engine failure
That was only the overture for the chaos that will happen after the start. Rosberg started well, just as Bottas and Massa, but Hamilton and Raikkonen weren’t impressive. Champion dropped to sixth after contact with Bottas while Ricciardo moved up to fourth. In the same time, in the middle of the grid Carlos Sainz Jr suffered tyre puncture while Jolyon Palmer retired. Many cars were forced to pit early as they were damaged in the mess caused at turn 1.

Hamilton recovered but that wasn’t enough
Hamilton quickly recovered and moved up to third, overtaking Bottas on lap 8. Soon after, the Finn was penalized for the accident at the start. Later in the race, the heat on the track was cooled and Rosberg had a comfortable lead, but Ferrari did the excellent tactical job to keep Hamilton on third. Raikkonen drove perfectly and kept the second position while in the middle of the grid Kvyat and Vandoorne were good against more experienced opponents.

Ricciardo fourth again
Rosberg easy defended his lead and won the race, clinching his 16th career victory. Kimi Raikkonen finished second after probably his best performance in the last two years while champion Hamilton must be happy with third.
